dental extractions
When are tooth extractions necessary?
We will only recommend tooth extraction if we think it’s needed. Sometimes, a baby tooth has extra long roots, or is shaped in such a way that prevents it from falling out naturally. Other times, a tooth may decay to the point that the surrounding teeth and jaw are at risk. In such cases we may recommend having this tooth removed and replaced with a bridge or implant.
We also can remove problematic wisdom teeth, or recommend tooth removal as a solution for overcrowded teeth.
How does dental extraction work?
In order to extract your tooth, Dr. Sanchez will first numb the area so you don’t feel the procedure. The entire process is fairly quick - Dr. Sanchez may elect to extract your tooth during a regular checkup, or he may request another visit specifically for the procedure.
