Came in to see Dr. Barillas for my braces completed my treatment in 1 yr & every appointment was so good everyone made me feel so welcomed, even got some filling in with Dr. Sanchez whom has godly hands ! This has become my favorite dental place !

Unfortunately, ortho treatments are only temporary and Soon our time will end but, if someone needs an ortho this is the place I would recommend. I wish more Doctors were like her.

I'd had three orthodontist consultations before Dumbo Smiles and they all told me my crowding required two teeth removed and old school metal braces to fix my alignment. Dr. Ingrid not only fixed them with Invisalign, my treatment was faster and cheaper than all other quotes. I’ve had an amazing experience working with Dr. Barillas and her team at Dental Specialists! I had a very tough case where my impacted canine had to be brought down into my smile and it took several years to accomplish, but Dr. Barillas never gave up and I now have a beautiful smile! I also need to thank all of her amazing assistants who were always so kind to me as well: Patti (who I mistakenly called “Poppy” for so long! I’m sorry Patti, I was very embarrassed when I realized), Jasmine/Yasmin, and Mercedes! They were all so kind to me throughout my years of treatment 🙂 Their practice is excellent and they produce amazing results, whether with Invisalign or traditional braces. I have had Zoom teeth whitenings at previous dental offices but Dental Specialists of NY Midtown office was the best. I liked that the actual main dentist, in this case Dr. Sanchez himself, was involved. He is extremely professional, gentle and considerate in literally ALL that he does. While he had help, Dr. Sanchez set the procedure up and oversaw the process. This made me more confident that everything would be done correctly which it was - my teeth look amazing.

Dr Barillas and her team were exceptional at dealing with my transfer case from overseas, and dealt with the added complexity of ongoing Invisalign treatment on my top teeth with metal brackets on my lower teeth. Her team carefully explained how my dental insurance would work, which was SO helpful for me as someone who has never navigated the American private insurance sphere before. She was able to continue my existing treatment plan and take over from my previous (overseas) orthodontist, and also made improvements leading to an enhanced bite. The rest of the dental staff are also very friendly and gentle, special shout out to Yasmine!

Everyone else are nice but the women call mitsy or whatever, every time she called to update me about something would be 1-2 minutes before they close with no voice mail or nothing, meaning when I call back nobody is going to answer because they closed. Then when I call next day she hanged the phone multiple times and said that the call was dropping, when I called for the last time somebody answered and said I should call later because they are in lunch. She did it again, so unprofessional.

Dr. Barillas and her team are the best orthodontists in Brooklyn. She saw me for an underbite correction and provided me with a second opinion after another orthodontist told me I'd need a minor surgery for my correction. Surgery was not needed and Dr. Barillas recommended treatment lasted only 5 months with stellar results. I have never had such a straight and beautiful smile as I do now. Highly recommended!

I then had the best virtual braces assessment and was given a thorough explanation on what work was needed for my son. Had a confusing misunderstanding. I brought my daughter in for a FREE consultation. They took pictures at their office then conducted a virtual consultation. Everyone was very polite and the process went smoothly. They followed up and I let them know we had decided to go with another orthodontist based on price. Then I got a letter from my insurance - they had tried to submit two claims for $450 and $1,000 and had filed the claims as if we had decided to use their service. Update: Sunset called me to say they had just submitted paperwork to the insurance company to confirm how much the insurance company would potentially paid. Not sure who made the error.

Dr. Barillas and her staff are truly great to work with. Dr. Barillas gave me a comprehensive Invisalign treatment and I am so so happy with how my teeth have improved. The office is so clean and modern. I highly recommend Dr. Barillas to anyone who is interested in fixing their teeth.

I was referred to Doctor Ingrid Barillas by Dr. Barry Grayson, the Orthodontist at NYU’s Department of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery. At that time my 9 year old son required the help of an Orthodontist who could influence his craniofacial bone growth with orthodontics to avoid future surgery to correct a developing underbite and malocclusion. Doctor Barillas patient and competent care brought the desired results. He is now 25 years old and loves to smile. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and results. So will YOU! I had previously consulted with two specialist and though both were highly skilled and recommended I wasn’t quite sure if either was the best fit for me. Dental Specialist was my final consult before making a decision. First impression. The staff was welcoming and wait time was about 5 minutes. Consultation lasted about 45 minutes (other two consults lasted 15-20 minutes). I felt an immediate connection to Dr. Barillas. She was warm, friendly and most importantly thorough in her analysis and in explaining the pros and cons of each treatment options. My other two consults made it seem like lingual braces was the only option to treat my open bite. Dr. Barillas however was certain I could get the same results for 1/2 the price and discomfort with Invisalign. Her examination to determine if braces was even worth the investment was definitely the deciding factor for me. I knew then that I wasn’t just a source of income and that I’d be given the best care and attention. I was right! Thank you Dr. Barillas, Patti, Nancy, Alexandra and all other staff who made this journey so wonderful.
