Dental Specialists of NY was built on the belief that patients deserve access to a complete range of dental expertise under one roof. Our doctors bring decades of combined clinical experience across general dentistry, orthodontics, and prosthodontics.
Dr. Rodolfo Sanchez, DDS, has practiced dentistry for over 30 years and has spent 25 of those years as a prosthodontist. His specialty training focuses on restoring and replacing teeth, which makes him especially well-suited for patients considering implants, bridges, veneers, and CEREC same-day crowns.
Dr. Ingrid Barillas, DDS, brings more than 30 years in dentistry, with over 20 of those focused on orthodontics. She works with patients of all ages pursuing straighter smiles through Invisalign, Spark clear aligners, traditional braces, and orthodontic appliances.

What’s the closest subway stop to the Sunset Park office?
The 45th Street station on the R train is the most convenient stop for our 48th Street office. The 36th Street station (D, N, R trains) is also within walking distance if you’re coming from a different direction.
Does Dental Specialists of NY accept insurance at the Sunset Park location?
Yes. We accept Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and Delta Dental at all three of our offices, including Sunset Park. If your plan isn’t on that list, call us and we’ll confirm whether we can work with your coverage.
Can I get orthodontic treatment and dental work done at the same office?
Yes. That’s one of the reasons patients choose us. Dr. Barillas handles orthodontic care including Invisalign, Spark aligners, and braces, while Dr. Sanchez covers restorative and prosthetic work like implants, crowns, and bridges. Both specialties are available across our locations.
Are Saturday appointments available?
Our current hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday appointments are not currently available. If you need flexibility on timing, call us and we’ll do our best to find a weekday slot that works around your schedule.
